Platform disclaimer
Sportsnet Events provides a platform for sports event listings and for connecting organisers, hosts, participants and volunteers. Unless a separate written agreement expressly states otherwise, Sportsnet and its team are not the organiser, employer, recruitment agent, ticket seller or party to an event participation arrangement.
Information is supplied by users
Organisation details, event listings, volunteer profiles, experience claims, attendance records and reviews are supplied by the relevant organisation, host, volunteer or reviewer. Sportsnet does not independently verify the accuracy, completeness or authenticity of that information, the legitimacy or recognition of an organisation, the conduct or safety of an event, or a volunteer’s identity, background, qualifications or suitability. Details may change; confirm current information directly before relying on it.
What approval and badges mean
Platform approval means an account or listing has passed our publication or access review. It is not accreditation, certification, endorsement, a background check or a guarantee. Email verification confirms access to the email address only. A Sportsnet course-completion badge confirms a match with the relevant course record only; it does not verify other qualifications, identity or event performance. Attendance and ratings reflect information supplied by members and may be disputed.
Agree arrangements directly
Event registration, eligibility, tickets, refunds, cancellations, reporting times, duties, shifts, supervision, food, kit, travel, accommodation, insurance, honoraria and reimbursements are agreed between the relevant users, volunteer and organiser or their external service provider. Confirm the terms, who is responsible and any amounts or deadlines in writing before booking, travelling, paying or participating. Sportsnet does not collect event entry fees through this portal, hold participant funds or guarantee that either party will fulfil an arrangement.
Responsibility and limits
Organisers and hosts are responsible for their events, permissions, lawful operations, safety arrangements, supervision and promises to participants. Volunteers and other users are responsible for the information they submit, checking suitability and eligibility, and complying with agreed lawful event requirements. Sportsnet does not guarantee event delivery, volunteer attendance, selection, employment, payment or a particular outcome.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Sportsnet and its team disclaim liability for inaccurate third-party information, third-party acts or omissions, cancellations, payment or participation disputes, and resulting loss, damage or injury. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, removes statutory rights, or excuses Sportsnet from its own legal obligations. This disclaimer is not a waiver of those rights or obligations.
Using the platform
Member accounts are for adults aged 18 or above. Provide accurate information, keep it up to date and secure your account. Organisers must be authorised to represent the organisation and publish the event. Do not impersonate another person, claim recognition or course completion you do not have, upload content you have no right to use, or charge for guaranteed volunteer selection. Notify affected users and update the listing promptly if arrangements change.
Recording interest shares your profile and contact details with that event’s organiser with your consent. It does not reserve a place or create a commitment by Sportsnet. You decide whether to participate after agreeing arrangements directly. Organisers may use shared volunteer information only for the relevant event and must protect it from unrelated use or disclosure.
Moderation, reports and external links
Harassment, discrimination, fraud, unlawful content and misuse of personal details are not allowed. Reviews should describe actual participation fairly and avoid unnecessary personal information. Sportsnet may review, restrict or remove content or accounts under its platform rules and applicable law. Reporting a dispute does not make Sportsnet a party to it or guarantee recovery of money. External registration and website links are operated by their respective providers and are subject to their own terms and privacy practices.
Free access and separate services
Volunteer registration and the Sportsnet foundation course are intended to remain free. A free basic event listing does not mean event admission or participant registration is free. Optional promotion, sponsorship or coordination services require separately agreed scope and pricing. Creating a portal account does not authorise a charge, and this disclaimer does not replace Sportsnet’s obligations under any separate service agreement.

Complaints contact: Daksh Tanwar. Email inquiry@sportsnetedu.com with the relevant page or event link, an explanation of the concern and supporting details you can lawfully share. Use “Sportsnet Events complaint” in the subject. Please avoid sending unnecessary identity documents or sensitive personal information. Complaints will be considered under applicable law. For immediate danger, contact the appropriate emergency service and the event’s safety contact; this inbox is not an emergency service.
